Despite the fact that 2021 was a bad year in general, it was a good year for movies. Because so many 2020 movies were postponed owing to COVID-19, 2021 turned out to be an unexpectedly strong year for film. But, since we’re only halfway through 2022, these tiles aren’t yet available. Based on the cast, directors, and overall buzz, we’ve compiled a list of our most anticipated 2022 films.

The Top 2022 Films So Far

‘The Worst Person in The World’

The Worst Person in the World kicks off this list with a film about a young woman who can’t decide what to do with her love life or her work. Date of release: February 4th.

‘The Batman’

Robert Pattinson as Batman, with his ridiculously deep, gravelly accent… It’s telling me that I’ll need subtitles. But, seriously, Zo Kravitz in a catsuit? Wow. We need to see this! Date of release: March 4th.

‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’

Michelle Yeoh plays a character who is forced to examine her decisions and whether she would have been better off taking a different path. This film has strong emotional content. 30th of March is the release date.

‘Top Gun: Maverick’

If the first few notes of the Top Gun music don’t give you chills, I’m not sure what to say! However, this film has been in the works for years and stars every gorgeous man in the world. May 27th is the release date.

‘Fire Island’

A gay adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice set on Fire Island, of course? It’s okay if we do. This charming comedy, starring Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, and Matt Rogers, is headed straight to Hulu for your viewing enjoyment. 4 June is the release date.

‘Elvis’

If you’ve been a fan of Austin Butler since he starred in The CW’s Sex and the City prequel series, you’ll be excited to learn that he’ll be playing Elvis Presley in a forthcoming biopic. Baz Luhrmann directed the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Great Gatsby. Date of release: June 24th

‘Nope’

Nope, a.k.a. another film that is really difficult to Google, comes from the creators of Get Out and Us. Apart from the fact that it stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, we don’t know much about it. Date of release: July 22nd

‘Bullet Train’

Brad Pitt is in an assassin film! Which also includes everyone else in Hollywood you like! It also has Bad Bunny in it. The film will be released on August 5th. Who else is excited?

‘Don’t Worry Darling’

It is, after all, THE Florence Pugh/Harry Styles film. I’m not sure what more to say. The two portray a married couple who live in an experimental utopian village, when things begin to go wrong… awry. Date of release: September 23

‘She Said’

Megan Twohey, played by Carey Mulligan, was one of the New York Times writers who broke the story that disclosed all of Harvey Weinstein’s allegations. It should be both intense and enjoyable. The film will be released on November 18th.

‘Babylon’

The plot of this film is a well-held secret, but here are some crucial selling points: it’s directed by La La Land’s director; it stars Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and a bunch of other known celebrities. It’s a period piece set during Hollywood’s golden age. The film will be released on December 25th.

‘Legally Blonde 3’

People, get ready to bend and snap because Elle Woods is back. Reese Witherspoon is not only reprising her role, but Mindy Kaling also created the script. Sign me up!
