Being famous means that one’s life is always on display. This means that we often discover things about them that we weren’t expecting. Recently, this seems to include the hygiene practices of everyone’s favorite celebrities, and some of them have really given fans some pause. Fans and critics alike chastised these celebrities for their unhygienic practices.
In the past, there has been a lot of speculation that Post Malone smells bad. Although many people believe it to be as bad as they say, there isn’t much evidence to support this. There was a rumor that his manager had quit working with him because of the smell. Although he claims the rumors about his smell have been greatly exaggerated, the singer has made it clear that he does not “wear any deodorant or anything.”
Jessica Simpson
Everyone was surprised when Jessica Simpson revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she only brush her teeth three times a week. At the very least, she flosses and gargles her teeth every day.
“Because my teeth are so white and I don’t like them to feel too slippery,” Simpson explained when Degeneres pressed her. However, she admitted to wiping them down with a t-shirt or cloth. In spite of this, she maintains that her breath is still clean.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
They recently received a lot of attention for their personal hygiene habits, including Ashton Kutcher and Mina Kunis. On an episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, they talked about it.
“When I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day. I wasn’t that parent who bathed my newborns – ever,” Kunis stated. Ashton then added, “If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.” There was a lot of discussion on the internet after everyone had heard the episode.
Adele
People didn’t know what to do when Adele said, “I’d like to stop picking my nose, it’s a really bad habit that I have.” That wasn’t the end of the information that was revealed.
She added, “The best thing is I pick my own kid’s bogeys. Even further, she added on, “When he was a baby and had his first cold – yes we’re getting really gross now – I sucked the snot out of his nose because he was so congested.”
Matthew McConaughey
For the past two decades, Matthew McConaughey has gone without deodorant and cologne. Despite this, some argue that he should do something to counteract it.. It was a little too much for his co-star in Fool’s Gold, Kate Hudson.
When they were filming scenes together, Hudson asked him to use salt rock as an alternative to deodorant in order to lessen the odor of his body. We’d like to know if he took the advice.
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell
According to Kunis, Dax Shepard was the one who initiated the conversation between her and Kutcher on the phone. While showering, he asserted that soap was not always considered necessary.
It was brought up again by Shepard and his wife, Kristen Bell, on The View. According to Bell, she is a “big fan of waiting for the stink,” and she went on to say that, “Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up.”
Bradley Cooper
As an actor, Bradley Cooper has a distinguished filmography to his credit. His admission in an interview with Esquire surprised many fans, though. The star revealed to the interviewer that he doesn’t use deodorant in his daily routine.
It’s because of his belief that the human body is designed to “self-clean,” he said. Even so, he did admit to taking showers three times a day, so it’s not the worst possible confession in terms of hygiene.
Shia LaBeouf
Since his early Disney days, Shia LaBeouf has developed a reputation as a somewhat eccentric star in Hollywood. Unfortunately, he’s also received some negative feedback about his body odor.
Maddie Ziegler, the dancer he worked with while filming “Elastic Heart” by Sia, was one of the first to say so. To get into character for the movie Fury, he also forgoes showers. In spite of the fact that this may have worked, the cast and crew were not pleased with the results during the long hours of filming scenes together
Adrienne Bailon
As a Cheetah Girl, this was the last thing anyone expected to hear from this ex-girlfriend. However, in spite of this disturbing fact, she insisted that she “never gets sick.”.
During an appearance on The Real, the actress and musician admitted that she doesn’t always wash her hands before using the restroom, which sparked outrage. She argued, “Not at home. What did I touch? It’s my house. The toilet paper touches my behind. I don’t touch my behind. Not this skin.”
Jake Gyllenhaal
That’s what Gyllenhaal did when he wanted to get in on the bathing debate: For the most part, his hygiene does not include regular baths in the tub. In 2021, he explained to Vanity Fair how he came to this conclusion “more and more, I find bathing to be less necessary at times.”
This comment begs the question of what exactly was said. After all, everyone seems to have their own definition of “often,” but we’re not sure what “less necessary” bathing means.
Megan Fox
With a long list of credits to her name, Megan Fox has had a successful acting career. Her flushing habits, on the other hand, were probably unnecessary for us to know. In an interview, she said that she frequently forgets to flush the toilet behind her, even when she’s visiting other people’s homes.
“My wardrobe on Transformers always smells like farts, and I have no idea why,” she added as a confusing and additional detail. At the very least, we’re relieved to know she’s straightforward.
Jennifer Aniston
As busy as Jennifer Aniston, we’d probably need a lot of coffee to keep up with our schedules, too! The only drawback is that a cup of coffee isn’t free.
Due to frequent coffee consumption on the set, some of Aniston’s co-stars have experienced unpleasant results when there is a kiss in the script. There have been complaints from both Jason Bateman and Alec Baldwin, and Bateman even went so far as to offer the actress mints prior to moving forward with a particular scene.
Zac Efron
Anyone who works out hard and frequently at the gym should, one would assume, wash off the sweat that has accumulated. In some cases, however, this is not always the case.
Actor Zac Efron is well-known for not taking a shower after a strenuous exercise session. Baby wipes are his preferred method of hygiene, so he doesn’t have to give up cleanliness completely. If you lead a busy life, this might be an option, even if it’s questionable.
Jennifer Lawrence
As much as this is a case of poor hygiene, it is also a ritual that tends to make her co-stars uncomfortable. For a scripted kiss, however, they will only have to be concerned about it.
For the actress, particularly during the filming of The Hunger Games, being smelly was a necessary part of the job. Before any kissing took place, she’d pack a lunch full of garlic and tuna to be ready. The tension might have been relieved if this had happened!
Robert Pattinson
Since his Twilight days, Robert Pattinson has come a long way. When Hollywood is in need of a serious actor, this actor’s name comes to mind. But he also revealed an interesting fact about himself: he’s the face of a fragrance.
He told Allure that despite being a spokesperson for Dior Homme, he doesn’t wear the cologne every day. He even admitted to the interviewer that he’d been told he smelled like crayons. Things could be much worse than just crayons, though.
Kesha
First and probably most important, we should point out that this is an older story from Kesha. So it’s possible that she’s changed her ways as a result of this encounter.
A BBC interviewer once told her that she didn’t have a pleasant scent and that she’s even been told she smells like a diaper full of shrimp. If someone told us we smelt like a diaper full of shrimp, we’re not sure how to respond.
Viggo Mortensen
Despite the fact that this is a situational story, we can’t say that his hygiene is always bad. To appear in The Lord of the Rings films, he recently began studying method acting.
It was decided that in order for him to prepare for the role of Aragorn, he would need to experience life as a character. He decided to leave the comforts of his home and live in the woods. When you’re living off the land, it’s difficult to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Simon Baker
In an interview with People magazine, Simon Baker shared his thoughts on personal hygiene and how he maintains a healthy lifestyle. He specifically stated that he is not a fan of deodorant in general.
It appears, however, that the admissions didn’t end there. His daughter’s godmother is actress Naomi Watts, with whom he is close friends. For example, he has said that Baker simply “rolls out of bed and goes,” while also claiming that Baker isn’t “much of a groomer.”
Shailene Woodley
Known for favoring natural remedies over more conventional ones, Shailene Woodley has expressed some surprising viewpoints on the subject. She doesn’t use deodorant, for example, but she makes up for it by using essential oils instead.
According to some sources, this may work, but it may also leave her clothes stained with essential oils. Designers who work with Woodley have been accused of not really wanting their lenders back, among other things.
Miley Cyrus
When Miley Cyrus was younger, there were reports that she was living in a very rough area of the country. People claimed she allowed her home to fall into a state of disarray. Specifically
A few dishes were not even mentioned in the gossip. They claimed that the star left behind piles of animal waste, old food, and mounds of plates. Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus split up over it, according to a report in the Life & Style magazine. Inquiring minds want to know the veracity of these assertions.
Cameron Diaz
When the film The Other Woman premiered, it’s likely that interviewers weren’t expecting Cameron Diaz to take a position on deodorant. The fact that they took a stand against it is probably something they didn’t expect.
“I don’t believe in antiperspirant,” said the actress. She continued, “It’s really bad for you. I haven’t used it for almost 20 years.” Certainly, but she also said that using deodorant can exacerbate the problem. She said, “You’re stinky because you use antiperspirant. It keeps all the stink in.”
Uma Thurman
It’s safe to say that Uma Thurman is now a household name in Hollywood. As a result of her work on Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, she’s still widely recognized. She’s not, however, a flawless individual.
For some reason, it seems that Thurman’s “clothes are covered in crusty, smelly food,” according to one stylist. In fact, they went so far as to claim they once yanked two-week old shrimp from Thurman’s back. This smell of rotting seafood on your back would be impossible to miss.
Anderson Cooper
Anderson Cooper, one of CNN’s most well-known faces, can be seen on a plethora of television screens every day. Despite this, he has previously sparked a debate about personal hygiene.
When he wasn’t dressed for work, he admitted to wearing the same pair of jeans every day. At first glance, this appears to be fine, until he reveals that he wears the same pair of jeans every day and washes them only three or four times per year. The admission was, to put it mildly, divisive.
Tom Ford
Tom Ford is a well-known fashion designer, and he even has his own line of fragrances that he sells. As a result, it’s reasonable to assume that those scents were among his favorites.
Ford, however, admitted to New York Magazine that he does not actually use any of his own fragrances. In fact, he avoids wearing any fragrances at all, and has even chosen to forego using deodorant. He described his own personal odor as “a little sweat [and] a little dog” in a less-than-flattering light.
Alicia Silverstone
Alicia Silverstone’s hygiene practices have been called into question by her fans on more than one occasion. For starters, she’s been known to skip deodorant altogether, even during a workout.
When she revealed that she fed her son from her mouth, it made headlines for a while. The food would be chewed for him by her before he could take a bite of it. Many questioned this practice because of the risk of spreading germs.
Orlando Bloom
It’s safe to say that Orlando Bloom has had a hand in a lot of memorable roles. However, there have been some complaints about him. Some say he’s more messy off-screen than he appears to be at movie premieres.
This is something that most people don’t want to hear from their ex-partner, Miranda Kerr, who has admitted that she would give him hints that he might want to “was his clothes and perhaps shower more often.”
Ezra Miller
Ezra Miller’s impeccable sense of style has delighted fans time and time again. They’ve wowed the crowds on the red carpet numerous times. Although fashion and hygiene don’t always go hand-in-hand, this seems to be the case here, as we’ve seen before
Miller admitted in an interview with GQ that they aren’t particularly conscientious about their hygiene regimen. “Cigarettes, not deodorant,” they said when asked about their personal scent.
Adam Morrison
When Adam Morrison was an NBA player, he became famous. He also received a fair amount of criticism from teammates about his personal hygiene during his six-year career. They also made some disturbing claims.
Because the athlete rarely showers, you don’t expect this from someone who works out frequently. Although we can only hope they were washed frequently, it was reported that for an entire year, he would wear the exact same three polo shirts.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Beyond his illustrious acting career, Leonardo DiCaprio is well-known for his environmental activism. According to some sources, the actor takes these concerns into account when it comes to his personal hygiene.
They claimed that he would save water by taking fewer showers and would forego deodorant because it was “unnatural.” At the very least, we know he’s working toward a better future.
Charlize Theron
During an interview with David Letterman in 2008, Charlize Theron admitted to making a single hygiene confession. There is no evidence that she does not take a shower, but she didn’t mention it. Instead, she stated that she wouldn’t mind going a week without a shower.
She shared, “I’m very spoiled and I don’t take for granted how lucky I am to stay in fancy hotels and fly first class. So when I do have a little time off, I like to get down and dirty.” We can’t really hold it against her.
Courteney Cox
Over the course of her career, Courteney Cox has played a number of memorable characters on television and in film. Despite this, she is not without flaws when it comes to personal hygiene.
David Arquette, her ex-husband and fellow Scream actor, admitted, “Courteney may be pretty, but if she’s not on top of it, she smells like a truck driver.” If anything, it just adds to her charm, which Arquette has said he appreciates, so don’t worry about it throwing a wrench in the works.
Jason Segel
In addition to his work on How I Met Your Mother, Jason Segel has a devoted fan base. This little-known fact about the show’s production may surprise you. During filming, it wasn’t uncommon to see Segel smoking between takes.
Alyson Hannigan, the actress who portrayed Lily, was not happy about this. An on-screen kiss was apparently out of the question until he quit smoking, according to the actress. Oddly enough, it was successful!
Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is one of the few pop stars to have reached the heights that she has achieved. The musician has established herself as one of the most well-known figures in her field.
Although no one can achieve perfection, some sources claim that Aguilera does not always smell like roses. More specifically, Hannah Hooper from Grouplove has stated that Christina has a unique scent that she wears on a regular basis. Hooper has stated that she will “swear to G-d that she smells like hot dogs.”
Gwenyth Paltrow
Paltrow, an actress and the founder of Goop, has come up with some innovative self-care solutions over the years, many of which have come under fire. In addition, her search for an alternative to deodorant has not always been fruitful.
When a previous outfit failed to impress at the Met Gala, the star was said to be experimenting with a new look. As a result, the product failed to keep her smelling fresh throughout the night, much to the dismay of her fellow celebrities.
Kourtney Kardashian
Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of the Kardashians’ private lives. The Kardashians’ soap opera even sparked a few debates about personal hygiene. It was a surprise to many that she left her deodorant behind while she was expecting.
While we can sympathize with her concerns about hygiene and even a few missed steps, her former partner Scott Disick made it clear to the public that he had a problem with the decision.
Kim Kardashian
In the past, Kim Kardashian has caused a stir with her personal hygiene decisions. Her decisions, on the other hand, may have some significance. When Kim revealed that she only shampoos her hair twice a week, it drew a lot of attention from her fans.
As soon as the 2016 clip was released, many people had doubts, but there were those who supported her in the debate that ensued. Even some hair care experts say that just once or twice a week is enough.
Johnny Depp
One of Johnny Depp’s best-known attributes is his ability to incorporate an untidy look into his personal style. It’s possible that some of it isn’t just for show. The actor’s decision to avoid showering frequently has been repeatedly mentioned.
As a result, he made clear that he skipped brushing his teeth a few times in order to fully embody the character of Jack Sparrow on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Julia Roberts
The actress, like her co-star Leonardo Dicaprio, is concerned about the state of the environment, and she has made changes to her way of life in order to address her concerns.
To begin with, she decides to take fewer showers. However, this is more of a water-saving measure than anything else. She, too, avoids deodorant out of concern that it contributes to pollution. In the end, we’re pleased to hear that this decision was based on a selfless motive.
Kristen Stewart
While filming Twilight, Kristen Stewart is said to have skipped some important hygiene tasks to save time on set. We have to wonder if this was more of a result of the stress of filming than it was a regular occurrence.
In this period, Stewart is said to have waited a long time between hair washes and even skipped twice-a-day brushing of her teeth at times. If these rumors are to be believed, they may have faded away after the series ended.
Brad Pitt
It’s not the first time Brad Pitt has wowed the world of Hollywood. Many of his business decisions and roles have taken him in new directions. As a result, there was a breakup with Chanel No. 5.
The moment Brad Pitt made the decision to stop wearing “synthetic scents” was at that moment. When they were living together, Jolie joked that the kids referred to him as “stinky Daddy.”
Harry Styles
Before launching a solo career, Harry Styles was a member of the band One Direction. Of course, nothing puts you closer to someone than sharing a hotel room with them for a week while they’re on tour.
According to Zayn Malik, the singer’s shoes smell bad, but he couldn’t be persuaded to smell the singer’s socks in previous interviews. Former flame Taylor Swift later chimed in about his dental hygiene.
Mel Gibson
Throughout his career, Mel Gibson has been criticized for a wide range of issues, not just his personal hygiene. However, it wasn’t completely omitted. It has been reported numerous times by stylists who’ve worked with the star that he or she has a foul breath problem.
One stylist even went so far as to describe Gibson as “the worst smelling celebrity on the planet,” further tarnishing his already tarnished reputation by bestowing an honor that no one would want on them.
Nicole Polizzi
If you’re unfamiliar with the name Nicole Polizzi, you’ll almost certainly recognize this reality television star by her one-name moniker, Snooki. A significant portion of the reality star’s life has been depicted on television.
To the horror of her listeners, she once decided to talk about her skincare regimen on air. We’re not sure if cat litter is up to the task of exfoliating your skin. Although it sounds like a harsh exfoliant, Polizzi swears by the practice, even though it is!
Joan Rivers
One of Joan Rivers’ trademarks was her raunchy sense of humor, which she was not afraid to unleash on the world at any given moment. Because of this, it’s not surprising that she has a few personal quirks of her own to share.
It was well-known that the comedienne eschewed deodorant, but she never shied away from exploring other options. However, she chose an alternative that was still shocking. For deodorant, Rivers made her own by combining booze and water in a spray bottle, which she applied to her clothes.
Vanessa Paradis
For herself, Vanessa Paradis is a model and actress who has found success. She even dated one of the actors on this list, Johnny Depp, for a short period of time.
Their personal hygiene may have had more in common than most people realize. A number of people have claimed that the star doesn’t shower regularly, and this often results in them avoiding her.
